FAQ

Common questions.

Everything you need to know before sending your files.

What is 3D printing?

3D printing builds real, physical parts directly from a CAD file. Software slices the model into layers, then the printer rebuilds those layers one by one until the part is complete. Thinner layers give finer detail but take longer to print. Some parts need light post-processing after coming off the machine.

How much does 3D printing cost?

From $120 you get a real, finished part in your hands, that covers print time, material, setup and labour. No hidden extras. If your file needs repairs before printing, we'll let you know upfront. Send us a STEP or STL file and we'll quote it fast.

What file format do I need?

STEP files are preferred. STL files also work. If you only have a sketch, photo or rough idea, our CAD service can create a print-ready file for you.

What can I print?

Almost anything. We'll advise on the right process for your part - MSLA resin for fine detail and smooth surfaces, FDM for strong, functional parts. If a part is too large for a single print, it can be split into sections, printed separately and bonded together.

Can you print parts bigger than your max build size?

Yes. Larger parts can be split into sections and bonded together after printing. Our maximum build volumes are: MSLA 222 × 122 × 228 mm | FDM 350 × 320 × 325 mm.

How long does it take?

Most jobs are completed within 24–72 hours of approval. Larger or more complex prints may take longer. Let us know your deadline upfront and we'll work around it.

What materials can you CNC cut?

We cut cardboard, cork, core flute, felt and vinyl stickers. Cardboard is especially useful for testing packaging designs and checking dimensions before cutting the final material.

How do I get a quote?

Use the contact form on this page or email [email protected]. Attach your STEP or STL file and describe what you're trying to make. We'll get back to you quickly with a quote.

What if I don't have a design yet - I just have an idea?

No problem. We've partnered with Lotrix, a product design studio, to help take your concept from idea to a print-ready file. Get in touch with Lotrix →
